The OpenSource management team has extensive experience in building and delivering customer-oriented contract and legal document management solutions.

Uri Zernik
Chief Executive Officer

Based on his expertise in Natural Language Processing and Legal Publishing, Dr. Uri Zernik co-founded OpenSource, Inc. to enable the document analysis tasks that bog down legal publishers, law firms and legal departments. Dr. Zernik has served as the company CEO since the company's inception in 1995. He defined its products and attained strategic customers such as GE Capital Global Projects and Structured Financing, Lawyers Cooperative Publishing (now part of West Publishing), Matthew Bender (now part of LexisNexis), and Lexis Publishing.

Prior to OpenSource, Dr. Zernik was a research scientist at the GE Research and Development Center in Schenectady, NY. He developed document analysis systems that were applied at GE Corporate, GE Aircraft Engines, and GE Capital.

Dr. Zernik is a prominent contributor to research organizations in the area of Computational Linguistics, including the American Association of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Association for Computational Linguistics. He is the editor of "Lexical Acquisition: Exploiting On-Line Resources".

Dr. Zernik holds PhD and MSC degrees in Computer Sciences from the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of California in Los Angeles. He wrote a dissertation on automatic language acquisition by computer programs.

Mark Freeman
President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Freeman co-founded OpenSource in 1995. He has served as the company CFO and President since its inception. Mr. Freeman ensures the profitable operation of the company. OpenSource is owned by its founders and has not used any external financial resources.

Prior to OpenSource, Mr. Freeman founded and managed NuText, a company that provided document analysis services to law firms, such as Dewey Ballantine, and financial organizations, such as GE Capital.

Mr. Freeman holds an MBA degree from the State University of New York in Albany, NY, and a BA degree in Computer Sciences from the same university.

Adoram Rogel
VP Research and Development

Mr. Rogel joined OpenSource Inc. in 1996. He is instrumental in developing and continuously improving the text-recognition technology that is core to all OpenSource products and services and manages the company's large-scale custom projects, such as data conversion for the Matthew Bender Authority CD, conversion of Matthew Bender publications to VISF, and others.

Prior to joining OpenSource, Mr. Rogel was a Senior Software Engineer at Rokar International, a provider of rapid navigation electronic systems now owned by BAE Systems (formerly British Aerospace).

Mr. Rogel holds a BSc degree in Computer Sciences from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.

John Kilcline
VP Product Development

Mr. Kilcline joined OpenSource, Inc. in 2004. He is responsible for product direction, user-interface design and development.

Prior to joining OpenSource, Mr. Kilcline was a Technology Consultant and Business Development Specialist at Sycamore Associates, a Walnut Creek based consulting firm. Previously, he was CEO of ProximityFile Inc., a provider of enterprise software, which enabled global collaboration through scalable document distribution.

Mr. Kilcline holds a bachelors degree in Computer Sciences from Pomona College, Claremont, CA.
