Fandango is a subsidiary of the Comcast Interactive Media group, consisting of four subsidiaries. These subsidiaries all interact and share contracts. In over three years of use, openSource has been very helpful in this distributed situation.

Business Needs - Fandango sought a contract management system in order to minimize paper shuffling, allow flexible, simultaneous, controlled (access rights: each officer can see only his designated folders) access to people in different locations.

openSource Selected – “We found openSource useful in moving documents around, dishing the appropriate papers to the officers in the various departments.  openSource event reminders are great. The General Counsel doesn't have to memorize anything. She gets the notifications on time. The  message itself is informative and if necessary she can click that "hot buttons" that allows here to pull out the contract itself. openSource upload is very easy. In general I collect all the documents as they arrive into the Inbox folder and then once a week I file them in the right folder with all the details in the term sheet.  On openSource, it is very easy to move documents around. The system is very user friendly. For new users, openSource is intuitive and very easy to grasp . They just ‘get’ it.”

Excellent for Distribution and Sharing – “In general distribution of documents is a problem due to our corporate structure. I need to provide a specific document in the Marketing folder to an officer in the BusDev department, but obviously, I cannot reveal the entire Marketing folder. Using openSource collaborate I can provide access to that document without disclosing the entire Marketing folder. Very easy to use.  Each one of the subsidiaries requires its own portfolio with its own folders and departments. However, I need to be able to upload documents for them in their folders and to see the documents they have uploaded in their folders. openSource allows very easy collaboration between the subsidiaries.  In a different situation, we need to send an entire set of 30 contracts to an external lawyer.
