Zvi Margalit
CEO
Zvi Margalit is a global executive with twenty-six years of leadership in corporate, product, market development, and venture funding. Zvi joined openSource in July 2010. He believes that a strong corporate strategy will ensure a company’s growth in meeting its business goals and financial success. His philosophy is centered on dynamic organizational and team participation as critical and dynamic forces in conducting global business. Zvi's capabilities developed from years of facilitating corporate building and crafting practical ‘go-to-market’ plans to meet corporate goals.
Zvi brings broad experience in evidence-based analysis of company progress to assure successful implementation of the company’s strategy and business plan. Key elements in his experience include leadership of executive management teams working with a range of company, client, and market partners in assuring a ‘win-win’ strategy for global success. Other experiences include developing products and market strategies based on company core competencies in ID security, Data Storage, and Intellectual Property; Founder Venture Funding group which provided financial support for early stage companies; Tactical leadership roles at Apple, HP, and MIPS to execute the marketing and corporate strategy for building a strong brand and expanding various business and distribution models.
Mark Freeman
President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Freeman co-founded openSource in 1995. He has served as the company CFO and President since its inception. Mr. Freeman ensures the profitable operation of the company. openSource is owned by its founders and has not used any external financial resources.
Prior to openSource, Mr. Freeman founded and operated NuText, a company that provided document analysis services to law firms, such as Dewey Ballantine, financial organizations, such as GE Capital, and large manufacturing firms, such as GE Aircraft Engines.
Mr. Freeman holds an MBA degree from the State University of New York in Albany, NY, and both BS and MS degrees in Computer Sciences from the same University with an emphasis on Alghorithms and Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
David Miron
Director, Social Marketing
David Miron is a writer, and a social media maven that has been helping companies brand themselves through the use of social media since before Digg was the big thing. Mr. Miron joined openSource Inc in July 2011 as part of the marketing team. He leads the effort of adapting openSource Inc’s time proven technology to today’s cloud based, Saap oriented markets. Mr. Miron believes in a grass roots approach to branding & marketing technology based services on the web. It is within the scope of his responsibilities to rebrand, adapt and bring to market new openSource products.
Mr. Miron is also a part of TheWadi team, a blog providing news, and insight into Israel’s bubbling, technology cauldron.
Nathan Brand
VP Engineering
Mr. Brand is new to the openSource team. As the head of the systems and technical engineering staff, his responsibilites are key to ensuring the 24/7 high-availability of the openSource array of servers.
Prior to joining openSource, Mr. Brand was employed at Hewlett Packard Company as a Senior Systems Engineer, and brings a decade's worth of knowledge and experience to his new position. He also has extensive education in a myriad of technologies, and is an experienced Project Manager having served companies in the Banking, Insurance and Internet Suppliers industries. He is a welcome addition to the team.
